Uptown is experiencing quite a bit of change right now. Buzzwords used in many conversations around these shifts in the neighborhood are: gentrification, urban renewal, redevelopment, and displacement. Uptown Church and Uplift Community High School are bringing together a group of experts to discuss the issue of urban revitalization. Our panel this November will include perspectives from the Chicago DPD, academia, journalism, and local Uptown voices. You are invited to join this free discussion as we seek out ways to make sure the changes in Uptown benefit everyone and strengthen our community.
