Join Us For Midweek Prayer

Pray with us on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm in January through the first week of April.

Our church is starting the year with an emphasis on prayer and fasting. We desire to seek the Lord in all areas of life. We want to lift up the needs of individuals, our church, neighborhood, city, nation, and world. We gather every Thursday evening in January through the first week of April - 6:30pm at Uptown Church. You are invited to join us during this weekly prayer session.

Connect Nights (during fall, winter, spring months)

On the third Friday of the month, our church goes out for dinner and dessert. We usually pick a couple of economical, family friendly places around Andersonville for different groups to eat dinner at. The different options allow for us to dine in small groups and accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. This is followed by all the dinner groups meeting at George’s Ice Cream for dessert and coffee. Stay connected with us through Instagram and Facebook for exact locations, dates, and times.

Fall Festival

Every October, Uptown Church hosts its annual Fall Festival for the neighborhood. This is a one-day completely free event that offers families the chance to play carnival games, hear live music, ride ponies, experience a petting zoo, eat a meal together, visit snack stations, jump in a bounce house and much more! Come celebrate our church’s anniversary with us and join the party! Did we mention that EVERYTHING is free?

Community Conversations

Twice a year, Uptown Church and Uplift Community High school partner together to host a public conversation for the neighborhood. Each discussion features a diverse panel of powerful and intelligent voices that help us address issues we face as a neighborhood, city, and country. Previous conversations have focused on immigration and race relations. Our next discussion will be May 2020.

Small Groups

Our small groups meet throughout the year. These discipleship groups are a vital form of ministry for Uptown Church as they help facilitate a deeper connection to God and others. We offer a variety of groups that meet at various times throughout the week. Sign up is easy and always available in our Sunday morning services.

Newcomer Lunches

Every few months, we host a free lunch after the Sunday morning service for individuals and families who are new to Uptown Church. It is a chance to meet other new people at the church, get to know Pastor Jeremy better, and hear from other key ministry team partners. This is an informal time to be together, ask questions, and learn more about the vision and direction of the church.

Prayer Walks (during spring and summer months)

Mondays at 6:30pm, groups of people from Uptown Church walk through the neighborhood, praying over our community and praying with people in our community. We meet at the McDonalds on Wilson and Sheridan and head out from there. You are invited to help us impact our neighborhood through the power of prayer.

Summer Picnics

During the summer months, Uptown Church gets together for monthly picnics in the neighborhood. Not only do we eat together and hang out, but we feed anyone in the neighborhood that wants to come. We offer food, face-painting, balloons, hula-hoops, jump ropes, and games for the whole family.

Our picnics are not just for us, but an opportunity for our church to bless the neighborhood.
