Small Groups for November 2018 - January 2019

Sit & Knit
Portable Handicraft Group

WHERE: Everybody’s Coffee - 935 W Wilson Ave
WHEN: Mondays 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
LEADER: Sara VanAlkemade

Bring your favorite portable handicraft -- knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, leatherwork, embroidery, whatever. Make friends. Pray for each other. Beginners welcome.

Questions & Doubts
Open Discussion and Sharing

WHERE: Wilson Abbey Conference Room (2nd Floor) 935 W Wilson Ave
WHEN: Sundays 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
LEADERS: Teel Short and Jeremy Nichols

The purpose of this group is to provide space for others to share their doubts and questions; get it all on the table - not necessarily so that we can find answers, but so that we can all know that we're not alone or crazy! These confusing gray areas might be the very soil where our faith can blossom and give new life.

Project Gingerbread
Holiday Baking Group

WHERE: Friendly Towers Lobby - 920 W Wilson Ave
WHEN: Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
LEADER: Glen VanAlkemade

This group will plan and execute a holiday gingerbread project. We will meet to share past baking experiences, recipes, & techniques. We might bake together in a commercial kitchen to which I have access, or independently at home.

Game Night
Board Games at Dice Dojo

WHERE: Dice Dojo - 5550 N Broadway Ave
WHEN: Wednesdays (bi-weekly) 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
LEADERS: Scott Stahnke and Nathan Cameron

Join us every other Wednesday evening at the Dice Dojo to play board games and hang out.

Going Deeper
Sermon Recap and Discussion Group

WHERE: Half Acre Brewing - 2050 W Balmoral Ave
WHEN: Tuesdays 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.
LEADERS: Mike Borden

Join us each Tuesday evening at Half Acre to discuss Sunday's sermon over a beer. (Non-alcoholic beverages also available)

Coffee & Devotions
Young Adult Women's Bible Study

WHERE: Everybody’s Coffee - 935 W Wilson Ave
WHEN: Saturdays 10 – 11:30 a.m.
LEADER: Sarah Giove

This group is for all young ladies in their 20s & 30s, single or married. Get ready to cozy up with a warm cup of coffee (or tea) and start your weekend out right as we read through Ruth Chou Simons’ devotional book called “Gracelaced.” You can buy the book yourself or just listen and follow along. No homework required! We will end with a time of prayer and encouragement for each other.

Music Circle
Playing, Praying, and Sharing

WHERE: Everybody’s Coffee
WHEN: Saturdays 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
LEADERS: Terry Wheeler

I love the idea of people playing music together. Bring your instruments and your voices. I’ll have printouts with words and chords for old Spirituals and Americana songs. There will be time for prayer and for exploring how we feel about different aspects of our faith. It will be a cozy, fun and meaningful time together.
